At Norwich Aesthetic Dentistry, we strongly believe in tooth removal prevention. We gladly perform cleanings, provide fillings, and recommend lifestyle changes to keep your teeth in great shape.

However, we also understand that you may have suffered from advanced periodontal disease, infection, or impaction. If we find a tooth damaged beyond repair, we’ll perform the extraction for you in our office.

To start, we’ll thoroughly and carefully examine the affected tooth. We’ll X-ray the area to better understand the tooth’s shape and position as well as its attachment to the surrounding bone.

When ready for the procedure, we’ll offer you sedation or anesthetic to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the tooth extraction. From there, we’ll loosen and remove the tooth, and we’ll give you recovery instructions to keep your pain and discomfort to a minimum.

After you recover, we may suggest that you fill in the gap with a dental crown, bridge, implant, or dentures. These artificial options can restore your smile and keep your remaining teeth from shifting out of place.
